Nolan Oswald Dennis' 'sūþ C or the root of south is sun' (2023) is the fifth in a series of six drawings reflecting the cosmic relations of the English word ‘south’ and its ancient root sūþ – the solar origin. Drawing on the solar lineage of the global south, this artwork revisits important questions of cultural connections and politics.
