This deluxe catalogue was created to showcase works by Misheck Masamvu for the 2019 exhibition, Hata, which took place at Goodman Gallery in Cape Town. "Hata" is a Shona term for a cushion that is used to ease the weight carried on one's head. Within this catalogue, readers will find an introduction by Emma Laurence and a discussion between curator Gabi Ngcobo and the artist. Masamvu, born in 1980 in Penhalonga, Zimbabwe, received training at Atelier Delta in Harare and the Kunste Akademie in Munich.
